I’ve created web content for Shopify Academy, EdPlus/ASU Online, multiple Arizona State University student services departments, and many local businesses.
Shopify Academy
Shopify Academy’s web content had to achieve a few things at once: explain what the platform was, earn a learner’s trust quickly, and maintain our blend of Shopify’s voice and Academy’s tone. The content needed to speak directly to merchants and partners who were building real businesses and needed practical information. It needed to signal authority as a source for Shopify knowledge and that we valued learner’s time and attention.
I wrote and maintained content across the Academy site with that tension in mind: clear enough to orient a first-time visitor, specific enough to feel useful, and consistent in voice whether someone landed on the homepage or a course detail page.
