This piece combined my love for Downtown Phoenix and the TV show Gilmore Girls – and seized an opportunity for some synergy with the release of the Gilmore Girls reboot, “A Year in the Life” in November of 2016. It was really fun to draw comparisons between the quirky small town of Stars Hollow and the landscape, traditions, and locals of my hometown.

ASU Prep Phoenix students were selected to participate in the Hamilton Education Program (aka EduHam), a truly special experience that blended Broadway, history, and student performance. My goal was to use student voices to highlight their achievements, learning, and creativity while conveying the excitement of being part of the Hamilton musical phenomenon.
